I enjoyed working with Mrs. Moon in delivering individualized customized music sessions
that assisted in her emotional shifting and promoted memory recall.
The therapeutic intervention moved her to write and draw her memories in Flow.

Winning Essay for McKnight's Long Term Care Magazine for the contest on The Best Long Team Care in the Nation. CNR Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation in Brooklyn New York.
CNR Team Award by AMDA American Medical Director's Association for a Successful Fall's Decline Initiative for CNR Long Term in Brooklyn New York.
Brenda as the Recreation Director led her team of Recreation and Music Therapists in various recreational programs at different times of the day including evening that assisted in the high percentile of resident fall decline. This was one of many successful initiatives approaches that earned recognition.
AMDA – The Society for Post-Acute and Long-Term Care Medicine is the only medical specialty society representing the community of over 50,000 medical directors, physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and other practitioners working in the various post-acute and long-term care (PA/LTC) settings. The Society’s 5,500 members work in skilled nursing facilities, long-term care and assisted living communities, CCRCs, home care, hospice, PACE programs, and other settings.
Creating an individualized computer experience starts from the start with a proper assessment tool developed by Mrs. Torres-Wells. She enjoys teaching student interns from High school and Universities how to apply the modified equipment and understanding the purpose in its use. The reward is priceless when the experience is captured in the moment of exploration and learning through a unique computer experience.

Brenda's Advocacy Story:
Community Advocacy began at the age of 14 years old when Brenda interned for former Council woman, Manhattan Borough President Ruth Messenger and Current Manhattan Borough President Hon.Gale Brewer.
At Gale's second term swearing in, she asked Brenda to stand up and introduced her to her guests then informed them how Brenda made a difference with New York's sanitation department's garbage process after figuring how to better take care of the garbage pickup after asking on a project at the age of 14years old.
Brenda learned advocacy from two strong New York City Leaders who became her Mentors and friends. They publicly express how very proud they are of Brenda and her work and know how much she still contributes to helping seniors and youth in the community.
Taimak Guarriello actor from the classic movie "The Last Dragon" and Brenda worked on several projects for the youth and seniors using both their talented skills including exercise instructions and computer programs. Brenda's assisted in consultation and development of a wonderful youth program named "Taimak's Unfolding Dreams" for the youth. This is a sample of some of her consulting projects for community needs.
